6. Payment & Refund Policy

  • All purchases are final unless stated otherwise in our Refund & Return Policy.

  • Subscriptions (if any) will auto-renew unless canceled.

7. Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Loss of data, profits, or unauthorized access.

AI Usage Disclaimer

By purchasing and using this product, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • The preloaded AI models and software are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

  • This AI solution is designed for productivity, research, entertainment and must not be used for unauthorized surveillance, unlawful discrimination, or biometric tracking. .

  • The user assumes full responsibility for any outputs generated by the AI software. The company does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or ethical considerations in generated content.

  • Compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding AI-generated content and data processing is the responsibility of the end-user.

  • Users are expected to generate AI content responsibly and within the boundaries of ethical and legal standards.

Bias, Misinformation, and Hallucination Risks:

  • AI-generated content may contain bias, inaccuracies, or hallucinated (fabricated) information.

  • Users should verify critical outputs and should not rely solely on AI-generated content for decisions involving legal, financial, medical, or safety-critical applications.

  • The company is not liable for harm or misinformation caused by AI-generated outputs.

Data Security and RAG Interactions:

  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology may incorporate external sources to enhance responses.

  • User inputs in RAG interactions may be processed dynamically in the CI cloud by the user, but are not stored permanently by the company.

  • Users are responsible for ensuring that no confidential, proprietary, or personally identifiable information is input into AI systems hosted in the CI cloud.

The company employs industry-standard security measures to protect AI interactions, but users should assume all AI interactions carry inherent security risks, especially when the user is not activating locally hosted software solutions.

Open Source Licensing & Disclaimers

This product includes preloaded open-source models and software that are licensed under various open-source agreements. The following is a list of the included software, their respective licenses, and terms:

  • Users are subject to the terms of these licenses, including but not limited to:

  • Proper attribution as required by the license.

  • Non-commercial or commercial use restrictions.

  • Provisions regarding modifications and redistribution.

Indemnification & User Responsibility:

  • Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Companion Intelligence harmless from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from misuse, modification, or improper distribution of open-source components included in this product.

  • Any modification, reverse engineering, or redistribution of open-source components is solely the responsibility of the user. Companion Intelligence disclaims all liability arising from altered versions of the software.

Commercial Use Restrictions:

  • Users are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations before using AI models in professional, financial, medical, or government-related services.

  • Companion Intelligence does not warrant or certify that these models are fit for use in legally regulated applications, and assumes no liability for regulatory non-compliance resulting from unauthorized use.

Bias, Misinformation, and AI Risks:

  • Users acknowledge that open-source AI models may contain biases, inaccuracies, or unpredictable outputs.

  • Companion Intelligence is not responsible for any harm, misinformation, or ethical concerns arising from AI-generated content.

  • AI models may hallucinate false or misleading information, and users should verify critical outputs before relying on them for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical applications.

Compliance Considerations:

  • Since the open-source models are unmodified, users should refer directly to the original licensing agreements for applicable terms.

  • RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technology is introduced through a secure installer, ensuring all processes are encrypted and handled locally on the user’s hardware. The AI can run offline, and the company does not have access to AI execution on CI hardware.

  • CI Cloud will not store user data beyond a specific size limit and discourages storage of private data in the cloud edition.

Legal Assurance: This document has been drafted to comply with relevant legal frameworks, ensuring adherence to both U.S. federal regulations and California business and consumer protection laws.

License Restrictions & Use in Commercial Products:

  • Users are advised to stay updated on the evolving landscape of AI use in marketing and professional services.

  • Our primary goal is to provide secure hardware for private data storage, management, efficiency, and optimization.

Users retain full control over what data they share externally from their CI environment.
